About Chewing and it's Side-effects
● Chewing gum may be good for your brain exercise and can improve memory but gum chewing for a long time may increase the chances of having Temporomandibular disorder (TMD). Difficulty in chewing and locking of jaw, jaw pain etc. are some symptoms. Gum chewing for 20 minutes can be safe.
About Green Patatoes
●One should always avoid eating green potatoes. That's because green tinge on them indicates the presence of a neurotoxin called Solanine which can make you ill and even cause death if consumed enough.
PREGNANT WOMEN
●A pregnant women should never eat raw/unripe papaya because an unripe papaya is rich in a component called latex.This can trigger uterine contractions and may often lead to early labor or miscarriage.
●Eating raw meat such as pork, chicken, beef etc. and uncooked eggs may cause serious sickness as they contain roughly all sorts of bacteria from E.coli to Salmonella.
●It is advised to avoid drinking bottle gourd (lauki) juice if it is bitter. Basically, a cytotoxic compound called cucurbitacin is responsible for the bitterness in vegetables and if consumed more than a limit, may be fatal.
●One can get tapeworms (a large, flat, ribbon-like parasite responsible for causing infection and multiplies in the host body) from some raw vegetables such as cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli etc. In order to remove parasites from the veggies, wash them with salt water and cook them appropriately.
