JKSSB conducts Ist, 2nd & 3rd Phase of Class-IV Examination successfully

Jammu- J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB) under Accelerated Recruitment Drive successfully conducted 3rd Phase of OMR based Objective type Written Test for 8575 District/ Divisional/UT cadre posts of Class-IV of various departments advertised vide Advertisement Notification No. 01 of 2020 Dated 26.06.2020. All three Phases of written test have been conducted smoothly, fairly and transparently with the active cooperation and support of District Administration of all the districts of J&K UT including J&K Police, School & Higher Education, Health, Transport and other related departments. The Private Schools & Colleges also extended their full cooperation & support in conduct of this examination, for which J&K SSB records its appreciation.   



The aforesaid examination was conducted in three batches on 27th February, 28th 2021 and 01st March, 2021. The First phase of the examination was conducted on 27th February, 2021 at 382 Examination Centre, the second phase was conducted on 28th February, 2021 at 379 examination centres and the third phase of examination was conducted today on 01.03.2021 at 379 examination venues in 16 Districts of J&K UT.  
About 4.04 lakh candidates had applied for these posts out of which about 3.28 lakh candidates appeared for the examination.  1.349 lakh candidates were scheduled to appear in the first phase on 27th February, 2021, out of which 1.094 lakh (81.14 %) candidates appeared for the written test at 382 examination centres. 1.349 lakh candidates were scheduled to appear in the Second phase of examination on 28th February, 2021 at 379 examination centres, out of which 1.097 lakh (81.33%) candidates appeared in the second phase of the examination. 1.349 lakh candidates were scheduled to appear in the third phase of examination today on 01st March, 2021 at 379 examination centres, out of which 1.095 lakh (81.19%) candidates appeared in third phase of the examination.  



A multi layered structure for supervision had been established with 
one Centre Observer and Centre Magistrate for each Examination Centre, in addition to the, Exam Coordinator and Centre Superintendent. 382 Magistrates, 382 Centre Observers and 382 Centre Superintendents and 16 District Coordinators were deployed. In addition, more than 5600 Invigilators and sufficient No. of Class-IV staff was also deployed for smooth conduct of the examination. To ensure transparency and fairness during the examination process, Videography of critical events has been done at each centre. Besides, for each district, there was one General Observer appointed by the General Administration Department & Chief Inspector appointed by the respective District Magistrates to monitor the examination. Senior officers of the J&K SSB & District Administration were also proactively monitoring the examination, in the assigned areas.  
Adequate security had also been deployed at each Examination Centre by the J&K Police for frisking and maintenance of law and order which contributed to fair conduct of the examination. Ten (10) cases of unfair means and 04 cases of presenting fabricated / doctored admit cards have also been detected so far against whom stringent action shall be taken by J&K SSB in due course. 


 For ensuring the conduct of examination in fair and transparent 
manner, all the District Magistrates had issued Prohibitory Orders under section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) around the Examination Centres during the timing of examination. SoPs under COVID – 19 protocol were also ensured during the conduct of examination.  
The Chairman JKSSB complimented the role played by all the Deputy Commissioners, District SSPs, Staff of J&K SSB and of other line departments like School Education, Higher Education, Jal Shakti, Power 
Development Department, Housing & Urban Development Department and 
Private Educational Institutions for their support and cooperation for the smooth conduct of examination.
