Aijaz Ahmed Khan gives approval to utilize Rs 10 lacs out of his DDC funds for strengthening rural health care
REASI, 20 MAY: Apni Party, Vice President and Former Minister, Aijaz Ahmed Khan has consented for the utilization of Rs 10 lacs out of his District Development Council funds to strengthen the rural health care system as the covid cases have seen a spike.
Aijaz Ahmed Khan said that he wanted to contribute towards the efforts of the Govt. to strengthen the health care system in peripheral areas which are in need of improvement.
“I spoke to the Deputy Commissioner, Reasi and requested him to utilize Rs 10 lacs out of my DDC funds for improving health system in the rural belt which continues to remain neglected,” he said and appreciated Lt Governor Manoj Sinha for his directions to the Deputy Commissioners and Health Dept. to ensure 5 bedded Covid Care Centre in every Panchayat of J&K as many households may not have the option for isolation of covid positive patients in their own residence.
“The Govt. has taken a good step towards the improvement in the Health Care System,” he said.
He said that the people in villages are taking precautions and many of them have also taken vaccination. “We should have critical care arrangements for the covid patients. It is not hidden that the rural belt has an improper health system and they are not able to handle critical cases,” he said.
He urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to strengthen the health care system in rural areas of J&K and provide the required number of ambulances for their emergency use along with the drivers.
He said Reasi, Sub-Divisions Mahore, Darmari and Gool need urgent attention of the Govt. in view of the covid situation. “Vacant posts should immediately be filled at all cost by the Govt. The Govt. should offer them extra-incentives for their service in rural areas and also utilize services of ISM doctors. These doctors should be deputed to the wellness centres and PHCs,” he added.
He said that the Health Dept. should expertise and focus on vaccination of rural areas of J&K.
