Jammu Kashmir - The government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered the closure of all schools, colleges, universities, technical / skills development centers in government due to an increase in Covid-19 cases across the country. All educational institutions in government will remain closed until May 31, 2021.
Schools and government training centers will remain closed until May 10, and all classes and learning activities will be held online. All government, state and private schools in Jammu and Kashmir have been ordered to be closed.
Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday recorded their 3,832 major one-day cases of new Covid-19 cases, taking the number of infections to 1,79,915, and a record of 47 in this 24-hour period increased the epidemic to 2,330.
Restrictions on travel and gatherings continued to remain imposed throughout the UT after the 84-hour closure announced by the government.
The officials said shops, petrol stations and other business premises were closed across UT, and public transport was off the road.
