DC Reasi disperse more than 47 Lakhs among registered construction workers as COVID relief
Reasi, May 17: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Charandeep Singh on Monday provided financial assistance of Rs.47,14000 as COVID relief among 4714 registered construction labourers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.
Assistant Labour Commissioner Roopali Gandotra was also present on the occasion.
The financial assistance was provided to eligible worker under the scheme J&K building and other construction welfare board scheme.
The DDC further directed ALC to generate massive awareness among the construction workers about various schemes being implemented by the labour department in the district and motivate them to avail the benefits of the same.
He also directed the ALC to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out from availing the benefits of these welfare schemes meant for the labourers.
He further said that the J&K Government had provided an amount of Rs. 2000 to registered Construction workers for two months due to COVID-19 pandemic as an assistance for purchase of Ration.
The DDC further said that today the first installment of Rs.1000 per worker was dispersed to 4714 worker through DBT mode.
