Jammu Kashmir Administration likely to extend lockdown by another week: Details Here
Jammu Kashmir- With COVID-19 positive cases showing a steep rise across Jammu and Kashmir, the administration has prepared a strategy to extend lockdown for one more week in the Union Territory to combat the spread of the deadly virus.
However, so far there is no official announcement on the extension of Lockdown in J&K.
On April 29, the Jammu and Kashmir administration imposed a curfew in 11 districts in a bid to tackle the surge in COVID-19 cases, which was subsequently extended to all the 20 districts the next day till May 17.
However, On Saturday, the lockdown was extended till 7 am on May 24. Normal life remains affected in J-K as admin extends lockdown till May 24. The lockdown imposed in Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of an alarming surge in coronavirus cases .
Meanwhile, J&K recorded 4,169 new confirmed cases of infection on Thursday, taking the total cases to 260057 in which 50554 are active cases. More than 3422 patients have succumbed to the deadly infection as per the official data, with total recoveries standing at 206081 on Thursday
