DDC Chairman Rajouri Holds Public Grievance Redressal Camp At Sokar-Peeri: Assured redressal in a time bound manner
Rajouri: Chairman District Development Council Rajouri Adv. Naseem Liaqat held a public outreach Programme at Sokarr Panchayat of Koteranka Block and listened to the grievances of the public.
The Grievance redressal Camp witnessed overwhelming response of people from the area and people from all walks of life thronged the Public outreach camp and projected number of demanded and issues.
During the outreach programme at Sokarr Chairman was apprised that there is an acute shortage of water supply in the area and the ongoing work on the WSS is stalled which has exaggerated the difficulties of the populace, and in the project execution the project layout is not being followed.
ExEn PHE issued on the on spot instructions to the AEE and JE concerned to follow the DPR approved layout and instructed not to deviate from the plan, while he also appealed to general public to regularly monitor the project execution and bring into his notice any laxity on the part of Sub ordinate staff or contractor. He further assured the chairman that water supply to the area will commence positively within a month's time failing which he shall be solely responsible.
Moreover, the chairman was apprised about the bills being levied by PDD at a higher slab and the sanctioned load is being perceived as the actual consumption which has further hassled the people. *It is very difficult for the residents, particularly poor farmers to pay large amounts,” said Mukhtar Gorsi a local youth*.
The chairman also assessed the quality of black topping of Prori Road and instructed ExEn PWD to regularly resort to quality check of the work.
At Peeri, the chairman addressed a large gathering of local residents who had gathered for a thanksgiving function to the Chairman for initiating the resurfacing of Kotedhara-Peeri Road and also for sanctioning of vital road projects in the area under PMGSY and State Sector Road Plan of PWD as also Peeri-Gakhrote WSS.
The public at Peeri also apprised the chairman about the problems being faced by the general public and chairman in his concluding remarks retreated his commitment to resolve the grievances of the public at their doorsteps and assured to take up all their genuine concerns with the concerned quarters.
