Rajasthan Constable Suspended For Objectionable Intimate Video viral on social media

Rajasthan cops suspended after intimate video leak: On Wednesday, Director General of Police ML Lather suspended a cop posted as Circle Officer (CO) of Bewar in Ajmer, Rajasthan. The suspension came after a video of him and a female constable involving in sexual activities, that too in front of a minor, came to light. The latter, posted at Jaipur police commissionerate was also suspended.

The incident has sparked concern over conduct of men and women in uniform yet again. Just a few days a ago, a constable in Uttar Pradesh faced action after an Instagram video of the woman flaunting a gun went viral. The constable eventually resigned from her job. Read more on her here.

Here are ten things to know about the case involving two Rajasthan cops:

The purported video featured the officer Heeralal Saini and the constable in a swimming pool. Allegedly, they were both partially naked and could be seen indulging in sexual activity.

According to the police, the incident took place in front of a minor boy, who is supposedly the son of the police constable.

A vigilance enquiry is underway in the matter. The day and place of the video are yet to be confirmed.

Saini claimed that the video was doctored and that the Police Head Quarters was investigating the matter. He further said that he was not aware of any police complaint against him.

The constable’s husband reportedly filed a complaint against her in concern with the same video with Chitawa Police Station in Nagpur district on Aug 2.

 

As per the complaint, the couple got married in 2001 and she got her job in 2008. It also confirmed that they have a six-year-old son.

The constable’s husband claimed that on July 13, he found that his wife posted a video clip featuring Saini and her in a swimming pool. The video captured them indulging in “obscene” activities. He added that his relatives and acquaintances also saw the video.

The complainant mentioned that his wife kissed their son on his lips while Saini touched her “inappropriately”. In his opinion, this was a crime against the minor.

A senior police officer said that the video and the husband’s complaint were sent to the DGP office and a departmental enquiry was initiated against both the cops.

Ultimately, both the police officers were suspended because of their activities.
