UPSC 2021: Meet Suchitar Sharma from Jammu who Became Youngest IAS Officer
JAMMU: Suchitar Sharma of Salehar village of Jammu district on the India-Pakistan border has done wonders. He has probably become the youngest person in the country to clear the UPSC exam 2020. He had appeared in the UPSC exam just six days after completing his college studies and had succeeded.
Suchitar Sharma, who became the youngest IAS in 2020, is originally from Salehar, a border village in Bishnah tehsil of the Jammu district. Suchitar Sharma’s father, Madan Lal Sharma and mother, Ritu Mangotra, are teachers. Suchitar Sharma’s age is being told on social media as 21 to 22 years.
Let us inform you that the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC CSE 2020 Result) has released the final result of Civil Services Examination 2020 on the evening of 24 September. In this, 761 candidates have been passed. Shubham Kumar of Bihar Katihar has topped. Suchitar Sharma has secured 146 ranks in his very first attempt.
Suchitar Sharma, who became an IAS officer at 22, earned his bachelor’s degree from GGM Science College, Jammu. Scored 86% marks in graduation with Botany, Zoology and Geology subjects. Suchitar passed Army School Ratnuchak with 94.8 percent marks.
In a conversation with JK media, Suchitar Sharma said that he wants to credit his success to the blessings of his parents, cousin sister IAS Prasya Sharma and his hard work. Prayasi Sharma is a 2014 batch IAS officer. Prayasi Sharma’s guidance was found to prepare for UPSC Exam 2020.
Suchitar Sharma says that he had decided in class 12 itself that he got inspiration from cousin sister. Therefore, along with my college studies, I started preparing for UPSC as well. He coached for a few days from IAS Academy, located in the Gandhi Nagar area of Jammu. After that, he did the rest himself.
Suchitar Sharma, who passed the UPSC exam in the least, can be gauged from the fact that he took the BSC final year examination on 28 September 2020 and six days later, on 4 October 2020, took part in the UPSC preliminary examination. Then I also got success in the UPSC main exam and interview.
