Srinagar: The bodies of both the businessmen killed in Hyderpora of Jammu and Kashmir will be handed over to their families today. In fact, Mohammad Altaf Bhat and Dr Mudasir Gul were among the four people who died during an anti-militancy operation at a commercial complex in Srinagar on Monday. The families of both had claimed that they were killed by the security forces. At the same time, the police had refused to hand over their bodies citing law and order problems. After this, protests started in the state. At the same time, political leaders also targeted the central government.

The police had earlier said that both the youths were shot by the terrorists, but later said that they may have been killed in the crossfire. Police said a Pakistani terrorist and his associates were among the others killed. Later, the police said that the owner of the complex, Altaf Bhat, would be seen as harboring terrorists as he had not informed the authorities about his tenants, one of whom was a terrorist.

 

Let us inform that after the rhetoric of politicians who came out in support of the families of both, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha ordered a magisterial inquiry into the killings. Within hours, the Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar, Muhammad Ejaz Asad, appointed Additional District Magistrate Khurshid Ahmad Shah as the investigating officer.

The son of the man who killed the terrorist with stones was also among the 4 killed in the Srinagar encounter.
