Director RDD conducts extensive tour of district Reasi, Inspects works took review of ongoing schemes with officers
Reasi: Director Rural Development Jammu Mohammad Mumtaz Ali visited Reasi today where he convened meeting of officers to review ongoing works under various schemes. Later he also inspected works in the Panchayats.
The meeting was attended by SE Anil Kumar Pandoi, ACD Dr Anirudh Rai, Executive Engineer REW, DPO and other officers and officials of Rural Development Department (RDD).
In the meeting threadbare discussion was held on all schemes and works. While reviewing parameters, director passed instructions for gearing up progress under all parameters. He directed the BDOs to ensure 100 percent utilization of funds under MGNREGA, capex budget, SBM and 14th FC well before the close of financial year.
During review, he also assigned targets to all blocks especially under PMAY-G and MGNREGA with time lines. He directed the BDOs of strict action if progress is not improved with time frame. He also asked the BDOs to keep eye on their subordinate staff so that genuine demands of local people are not ignored.
During the visit in Panchayats, the director inspected the construction of tile works, drains, culverts, Panchayat Ghar at Seela and Mari which have been completed under MGNREGA, 14th FC and other schemes.
While inspecting works, he instructed the officers to redouble their efforts and expedite the pace of works to complete them within stipulated time frame following all quantity and quality norms.
The Director also instructed the concerned officers to work in tandem and close coordination with the public representatives, PRI members and villagers to ensure effective implementation of the welfare schemes on ground for benefit of the general population.
