Nation is paying tributes to Shauraya Chakra awardee Selection Grade Constable Martyr Kamal Kishore for the Supreme sacrifice offered by the Valiant police cop while fighting against terrorists. Reasi-Tote 30 kilometer road is dedicated in the name of Martyr SGCt Kamal Kishore.
Officers of Jammu province ADGP Jammu-Zone Sh Mukesh Singh IPS, Sh Raghav Langer IAS Divisional Commissioner Jammu reached Reasi to formally dedicate the road in the name of the Martyr.
On the occasion while commemorating Martyr Kamal Kishore, Officers unveiled the road sign plate & paid floral tributes to the Martyr.
SGCt Kamal Kishore was born to Sh Mohan Lal and Smt. Geeta Devi in Gran Morh village of Reasi on 01-04-1988. He got his primary education from Government Middle School Gran Morh Reasi and upper school studies from Govt. Higher Scondary School Reasi.
Kamal Kishore joined J&K Police in 2009 and posted in IR 10th BN. He voluntarily joined operational group of J&K Police in Cargo Srinagar in 2011. For his extra ordinary operational performance he got ‘out of turn’ promotion to SGCt.
He attained Martyrdom while fighting against terrorists in an encounter in Fatekadal Srinagar. He fought braverly and killed two anti-national terrorists in the operation. He got injured and attained Martyrdom. For his valour and bravery he was conferred Shaurya Chakra Posthomously. Sh Mohan Lal father of the Martyr received the award from Hon’ble President of India on 22nd November 2021 in an investiture ceremony at Rashtrpati Bhawan New Dehli.
Parents of Martyr Kamal Kishore also proudly participated in the function. Family & villagers appreciated the efforts of police & administration for this initiative while remembering the Martyr with wet eyes.
DDC Chairman Reasi Sh Saraf Singh Nag remembered his affiliation with Martyr Kamal Kishore during his childhood days and glorified his journey towards martydom.
Speaking on the occasion and while paying tributes to the Martyr Sh Mukesh Singh expressed that Martyr Kamal Kishore was a sincere, dedicated and popular among his colleagues. He was very courageous and brave policeman who voluntarily joined Police & laid down his life for the security of the nation. Country & J&K Police is indebted to the Supreme sacrifice offered by the martyr in the line of duty and upholding the national flag high.
Sh Raghav Langer IAS while paying tributes to the martyr expressed that by this initiative of the Government the youth would learn about the Supreme sacrifices of the Martyrs. Not only it will nurture a feeling of nationalism among the citizens but also immortalise the Martyrs, who will be remembered by their names.
Sh Suleman Choudhary DIG UR Range who were present on the occasion spoke high about the valour and gallant action of the Sgct, and paid tribute to the Martyr.
DC Reasi Sh Charandeep Singh, SSP Reasi Sh Shailender Singh, Sh Jag Jeevan Lal DDC Reasi were also spoke on the occasion and glorified the martyrdom of Kamal Kishore.
Besides other officers ADDC Reasi Mrs Jyoti Salathia, ADC Sh Ab Satar, ASP Katra & Reasi SDPO's of Reasi district, Tehsildar Reasi, were also present on the occasion and paid rich tributes to the Martyr.

Who is SGCT Kamal Kishore?
Kamal kishore was constable in Jammu Kashmir Police from Village Gran Morh, District Reasi (Jammu Kashmir), Kamal Kishore was serving in IRP 6th Battalion. He was deployed in SOG Kashmir, hardly five months back. His elder brother is serving in J&K Police while sister in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). His belonged to lower middle class farming family. Out of the two brothers and two sisters in the family, three are serving in belt force. He was going to be married hardly after six months.
It is pertinent to mention here that this brave Reasi boy, attained supreme sacrifice while fighting with the militants in Srinagar, where security forces achieved major success in killing three militants.
