Three teachers have been dismissed from duty by J&K government for remaining absent from duty for a long period of time.
Un-authorized absence case of Smt. Arumella Koul, Teacher, BHS Diver, Smt. Ranjeet Kour, Teacher, HS Kralweth Baramulla and Mr. Sunil Kumar Raina, Teacher MS Moti Mohalla Srinagar and removal of service thereof.
Whereas, Smt. Arumella Koul remained un-authorizedly absent from her legitimate duties w.e.f. 11/03/2013 and the teacher was provided opportunities by the DDO concerned to resume her duties which she failed to avail.
Whereas, the issue was placed before the Designated Committee in its meeting held on 29/12/2020 and after examining the case the committee took the following decision: “Process for termination be initiated against the teacher”.
Whereas, the teacher was again provided an opportunity to be heard by this office on 26/04/2021 wherein the decision of the committee was also conveyed to the said teacher but the teacher didn’t respond.
Besides, on 06/07/2021 a joint show cause notice was also served to the teacher directing therein to present herself before this Directorate along with statement of defense within 07 days from the date ofissuance of notice; and Whereas, neither the teacher presented herself before this Directorate nor responded to these repeated notices, indicating thereby that she is not interested to work in this Department;
Whereas, remaining un authorizedly/ continuously absent from duties attracts action as warranted in terms of article 113 & Article 128 of J&K Civil Services Rules (Volume I) of 1956, which reads as under:
