Fill remaining 3000 jobs for 4th Class employees; Address the issue of 48 qualified general teachers from Kashmir division’

Apni Party Additional General Secretary and Chairman Municipal Council Anantnag Hilal Ahmad Shah on Wednesday urged the government to accept the long pending demands of National Health Mission employees who have been rendering their selfless services for the last fifteen years across J&K.

In a statement issued here with Kashmir News-KN, Shah said the adroit NHM employees have been working in different capacities in the Health Department besides serving the people efficiently during the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.

Shah asserted that NHM employees have contributed immensely in revamping the primary and secondary health sectors by their steadfast efforts that proficiently catered to the healthcare needs on ground levels. “It is pertinent that NHM employees have brought laurels to J&K in bolstering the betterment of Primary Health Care. Their efforts have not only reduced the MMR but have also brought IMR below the national average,” he added

He urged the government to recognize their ceaseless efforts and contribution to the society in medical fields to end the impasse.

“The apathetic approach towards NHM employees needs to end and their genuine demands should be acquiesced at an earliest. As they have remained committed towards their duties for long now, the measures with regards to their regularization, requisite pay hikes along with a concrete policy for Human Resource under NHM must be introduced to safeguard their futures,” he said.

In addition, Shah said the UT administration should also adjust 3000 candidates for class 4th jobs as advertised by JKSSB in 2020 wherein only 5000 candidates were appointed out of total 8000 vacancies.

“The unemployment rates in J&K are surging with every passing day. It will be appropriate that the administration adjust another 3000 candidates for class 4th jobs in order to provide a dignified livelihood for the youth who have applied for the same a year back,” he said

Speaking on the issue of 48 qualified candidates for general teacher posts from Kashmir division whose wait list has been presently dismissed, Shah said their woes need to be resolved in the same mannerism as that of the candidates from Samba and Udhampur.

“Citing the expiry of the general teacher wait list due to the delay in pursuance was primarily because of the prevailing situation after August 05 for which the candidates cannot be held responsible. If the government can make exceptions for the candidates from twin districts of Jammu through an order passed on 26-03-2021 via no. Edu-11/03/2019, a similar one-time relaxation should be provided to the candidates belonging to Kashmir division as well,” he said.
