General Zorawar Singh Trust delegation meets Advisor to LG Farooq Khan
Jammu: Today Gen Zorawar Singh Trust trustees called by Advisor Farooq khan and discussed long pending issue of our demand to repair the progeny of Great General his Palace at Distt Reasi. Despite of our various representations to Distt office Reasi nothing progressive has been done to make it his place a heritage site to promote tourism and also to inculcate values among young generation of his Great valour and courage.
In a statement of the Trust issued here said that the delegation led by Diksha Kaluria president of the Trust briefed the LG's advisor about the condition of the Reasi General Zorawar Singh palace.
The district administration failed to maintain this heritage Palace. People have started construction work near the Boundary walls of the Palace.
She said that they have apprised the Prime minister of India Sh Narendera Modi ji through his grievances portal. The Prime minister has directed the J&K Govt as well as Aarechological department and District Administration Reasi to immediately renovate the Palace of the General Zorawar Singh. But till date no action has been taken by departments.
Advisor Farooq khan has ensure to make this place a well known heritage of J&K and also appreciate the work of trust members Diksha and Riya to work tirelessly to carry forward Generals legacy . He said will speak to DC Reasi on this issue and very soon will take a concrete plan to execute this work with in few time. He praised the work of trust members and ensure his support on this noble cause as there are sentiments of Dogras are involved .
