If the SHO of a police station refuses to accept an FIR, what should be done then?

If the SHO refuses to accept your FIR - you have two ways:

(a) Meet the Deputy Commissioner of Police of that Jurisdiction / SP of that Jurisdiction and discuss your complaint and ask him to ensure that the FIR is registered.

 

OR

(b) File a PCR in the Local Magistrate court asking the magistrate under Section 190 Crpc to intervene and ask the Police to register an FIR.
