J&K: 250 Panch-Sarpanch including DDC Member to join Aam Aadmi Party
The victory of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the neighbouring state of Punjab has also affected the political atmosphere of Jammu and Kashmir. On April 8, many BDCs, including District Development Council member Taranjit Singh Tony and around 250 Sarpanch and Panch, will join AAP. Not only this, but many smaller parties are also preparing to merge with AAP.
District Development Council member Taranjit Singh Tony, while confirming his joining the Aam Aadmi Party in the program organized in New Delhi on April 8, said that the Aam Aadmi Party’s government in Delhi had presented a new model of development to the country.
The Government of Punjab has also started working fast in this direction, and the people’s aspirations are being fulfilled. He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are looking toward the Aam Aadmi Party with hope. On April 8, many BDC presidents and around 250 sarpanches and panches will join the Aam Aadmi Party.
Many smaller parties can also merge with the Aam Aadmi Party. The people of the state want a development model by rising above the politics of religion and regionalism. While joining AAP in New Delhi, AAP chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will also be invited to visit Jammu and Kashmir.
Due to the introduction of many new parties in the political scenario of Jammu and Kashmir, this time, the contest will be very exciting in the upcoming assembly elections. So far in Jammu and Kashmir, apart from BJP, Congress and NC and PDP, only Panthers have been on the political page.
After the reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir in 2019, many new parties like Apni Party, Aam Aadmi Party, and IkJutt Jammu have also started to gather support to show support strength in the assembly elections. Therefore, the upcoming assembly elections can be very interesting this time in such a situation.
