Creation of 1612 posts for establishment of two New medical colleges at Handwara (Kupwara) & Udhampur in the Union territory of Jammu Kashmir
Sanction is herby accorded to the creation of 1612 posts of different categories for establishment of two new Medical colleges at Handwara (Kupwara) and Udhampur (@806 posts per Medical colleges) as per the following break up-
1) Govt. Medical College Handwara (Kupwara) - 806 posts
2) Govt. Medical College Udhampur - 806 posts
The Administrative Council, which met here under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, yesterday approved proposals of different departments for creation of new posts in various sectors.
The council further approved the proposal of the Health and Medical Education Department for creation of 1,612 posts of various categories, 806 posts each for the medical colleges of Udhampur and Handwara (Kupwara). The decision will enable the department to start the course curriculum in these colleges from the academic session 2022-23.
