Jammu: 10-Year-Old Boy Drowns in river
Jammu: A heart-wrenching incident has been reported in which a 10-year-old boy got drowned in a local river in Kool Kalan area of Arnia, Jammu when he was playing near its bank with his friends.
The incident occurred when Summer Saini s/o Rinku Saini resident of Kool village, Arnia, Jammu got drowned in a local river when he slipped into it cause of loose soil on its bank.
According to the report, the deceased after attending the exam yesterday went directly near the river to play with his friends, but he got drowned there when he accidently fell into it. After that when Summer didn’t return to his house till evening his parents registered a missing report in the local police station.
The police launched a search operation when the victim didn’t show up in his house after going missing for hours , then today on getting inputs from the victim’s friends , the local police with the help of local divers recovered the body of the deceased from the river.
It has been reported that the victim’s body was handed over to his family members today for the final rites.
