DC Kargil reviews Covid-19 preparedness
Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve today chaired a meeting to review Covid-19 preparedness in the district in view of Omicron BF.7 variant cases in the country.
CMO Kargil, Medical Superintendent New District Hospital Kargil, Deputy CMO, District Immunization Officer, Nodal Officer Covid-19, District Surveillance Officer, BMOs, District Program Officer and Management Unit NRHM and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
DC Kargil sought details about preparedness in terms of the availability of manpower both doctors and paramedical staff in the Covid-19 dedicated hospital in Kargil and the management at the block level.
During the meeting, DC Santosh discussed several measures like quarantine, surveillance, testing and management for Covid-19 preparedness. He also took stock of the consumable items and medicines related Covid-19.
CMO Kargil informed DC Kargil that the oxygen plants and oxygen concentrators in the district are in readiness mode. He added isolation and ICU beds in the Covid-19 dedicated hospital in Kargil and blocks is sufficient to tackle any kind of situation.
The DC instructed the CMO Kargil to prepare a proposal regarding manpower shortage including nurses, paramedics, sweepers and Class-IV staff.
DC Santosh directed to start Covid-19 testing facilities at the airport and helipad. He also directed the MS and BMOs to conduct minimum 10 and 05 Covid-19 tests respectively on daily basis. The DC also directed to speed up the process of booster doses in the district.
