‘Accident happened due to pothole’: Rishabh Pant tells Uttarakhand CM Dhami
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday reached the Max Hospital in Dehradun to meet Indian Cricketer Rishabh Pant. The Indian batter, who met with a horrific accident on Friday is admitted to the Max Hospital and is undergoing treatment. The CM stated that Pant informed him that his accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway happened due to a pothole that came in the way.

The Uttarakhand CM interacted with the media after meeting Pant. He also opened on Pant’s health. “Rishabh Pant is experiencing pain in the body due to injuries suffered in the accident. As per doctors, pain should reduce in the next 24 hours. He has said that a number of people helped him after his accident. His medical treatment will continue at Max hospital,” Dhami said as quoted by ANI.

The Uttarakhand CM was reportedly in touch with Pant’s family after the Cricketer met with the car accident. He also had formed a team, who kept the CM updated on Pant’s health. Earlier, Delhi & District Cricket Association Director Shyam Sharma went to meet Pant at the Max Hospital and the Indian cricketer had informed him about a pothole causing the horrific accident.

Uttarakhand Government to honour Haryana Roadways staff

The Uttarakhand Government will honour the Haryana Roadways staff who helped in saving Rishabh Pant’s life on Republic Day 2023. The announcement was made by CM Dhami. “Uttarakhand government will honour the driver and the operator of Haryana Roadways, who saved the life of cricketer Rishabh Pant on 26 January. The driver and operator risked their lives to save the life of Rishabh Pant. The Cricketer’s car rolled a couple of times in front of their eyes (after hitting a divider and going up in flames on the Delhi-Dehradun highway). The Haryana Roadways’ staff proved their mettle as they tackled the emergency situation,” Dhami said.

Earlier, Haryana roadways honoured its bus driver and conductor for rescuing cricketer Rishabh Pant who met with a car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway near Roorkee on Friday. Stating that both the driver and conductor presented an example of humanity, Haryana Roadways Panipat depot general manager Kuldeep Jangra said, “We gave them an appreciation letter and a shield in our office when they returned to Panipat.”

Earlier on Saturday, Delhi & District Cricket Association Director Shyam Sharma went to meet at the Max Hospital and stated that the Indian star is recovering well.
