JKSSB has released the selection list for the Class-IV posts for some Physically Challenged Candidates, the selected candidates had approached the Hon’ble High Court of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladkakh.
Candidates belonging to the sub-category of Deaf & Hard of Hearing, approached the Hon’ble Central
Administrative Tribunal, Srinagar through the medium of O.A No. 1764/2021 titled Peer Mohammad Arif Vs Social Welfare & others, with the prayer that the Board had not applied Horizontal Reservation to the PwD candidates.
The Horizontal Reservation for these posts was not applied initially for want of pending clarification from the General Administration Department as the post of Orderly/Class-IV was mentioned at two entries in the Government Order No.59 of 2021 dated 15.04.2021.
Whereas, the Hon’ble CAT, while hearing the matter, passed the following interim directions:
“In the meantime, the respondent shall not finalize the select list with regard to the deaf and hard of hearing category as per Govt. order dated 05.04.2021 till next date of hearing.
The Hon’ble CAT, Srinagar disposed of the matter, vide its Order dated 06.12.2022, with the following
directions:
“This MA is disposed with direction to the respondent to complete the process of selection and appointment as per rules. Those candidates who have met the score of written examination in sufficient numbers. MA is disposed off..”
Whereas, the matter was examined and placed in the Board for consideration. The Board, in its 216th Meeting held on 26.12.2022, decided to fill these 80 posts kept reserved for the candidates belonging to the category of Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
JKSSB Class IV selection List for PwD Candidates
JKSSB has also informed that In case any candidate/s is aggrieved with this Provisional Selection List, he/she may represent through the email address class4hearing2022@gmail.com within three days from the date of its Notification, beyond which no representations shall be entertained.
The email should necessarily include complete details of the candidate including Name, Address, Roll Number and Contact Number.
