DDC Chairman, DC Reasi review Progress on USBRL Projects viz Public issues at Reasi
REASI: To review the progress of USBRL and other public issues of the district today District Development Council Chairperson, Saraf Singh Nag and Deputy Commissioner, Reasi Babila Rakhwal Convened a meeting of Officers of line Departments at Conference Hall DC Office Complex Reasi.
BDC Chairman Bhomag, Ashok Thakur, BDC Chairman, Arnas Neena Devi , DDC Katra Nirmala Bhagat, DDC Reasi, Jagjivan Lal, Collector Railway and ADC, Abdul Sattar, Chief Engineers of NR, KRCL, Railway Construction Contractors and other Officers of different departments besides Sarpanches attended the meeting.
The Chairperson DDC gave strict directions for increasing the men and machinery to complete the prestigious project with in time frame . He asked the concerned to monitor the ongoing developmental works of prestigious project. Executing agencies were directed to expedite the progress of ongoing work of USBRL project.
During the meeting, Railway authorities gave assured full support from the District Administration in the completion of the prestigious national project. The DC assured Railway authorities of full support from the District Administration to achieve the set targets in the completion of the USBRL Project, which will connect Kashmir valley to the rest of the country.
Threadware issues were discussed pertaining to depletion & Scarcity of Water sources, Land and Crop Compensation issues, Local Employment, Retrenchment of workers and payment of Final Refunds, EPF issues , Non Payment of dues to petty Contractors and Suppliers. DDC Chairman reviewed progress on the water supply schemes to villages which have been approved by Railway authorities out of CSR and other NR Funds. Deputy Commissioner strictly issued instructions to the stakeholders to be sensitive and responsible to the public problems and fixed time bound answerability in this context.
Chairperson DDC urged the Northern Railways, KRCL IRCON and other construction companies to organise skill training programmes for local youth related to construction and engineering to enhance their employability .
