J&K Government Mandate Timely Vacancy Referral to Recruiting Agencies:- Jammu and Kashmir Government’s Notification: Timely Referral of Vacancies to Recruiting Agencies
The General Administration Department of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued a crucial notification emphasizing the timely referral of vacancies falling under the direct recruitment quota to the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) and Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB). The notification refers to the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (reference of vacancies and holding of meetings of Departmental Promotion Committees), Rules, 2005, outlining specific provisions concerning this process.
The notification underscores the importance of Departments referring vacancies to the Public Services Commission and Services Selection Board by the 15th of January each year. However, it has been observed that several Departments have not adhered to these provisions, leading to delays in the referral of vacancies to the respective recruiting agencies. This delay has consequently hindered the timely filling of vacancies within Government Departments.
In light of this issue, all Administrative Departments are earnestly urged to ensure the timely referral of vacancies to the relevant recruiting agencies in alignment with the timelines specified within the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (reference of vacancies and holding of meetings of Departmental Promotion Committees), Rules, 2005. To facilitate this, the following timelines have been officially notified for prompt referral of vacancies to JKPSC/JKSSB:
Departments should refer vacancies by the stipulated date to ensure a seamless recruitment process.
The adherence to these timelines is pivotal in ensuring a swift and efficient recruitment drive within Government Departments.
The government’s emphasis on adhering to these timelines aims to streamline the recruitment process, thereby ensuring that vacancies are filled in a timely manner. This step is crucial in maintaining the efficient functioning of Government Departments and providing opportunities for qualified individuals to contribute to public service.
The notification serves as a reminder and directive to all Administrative Departments to prioritize and adhere to the stipulated timelines for referring vacancies to the appropriate recruiting agencies. This step is pivotal in maintaining the momentum of recruitment processes, ultimately benefiting the governance and functionality of various government sectors.
