Notice of Appointment


Appointment of Candidates to the Junior Scale of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service, J&K Police (Gazetted) Service, and J&K Accounts (Gazetted) Service through Combined Competitive Examination, 2022.

J&K Government is pleased to announce the temporary appointment of candidates to the Junior Scale positions of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service, J&K Police (Gazetted) Service, and J&K Accounts (Gazetted) Service, in accordance with the selection made through the Combined Competitive Examination-2022 and as recommended by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission.


Terms of Appointment:

The appointed candidates shall assume their roles in the pay level 8 (47600-151100) with immediate effect.
A probationary period of two years is mandated during which candidates will undergo training and pass the Departmental Examination as per the prescribed rules.
Reporting Instructions:

Candidates assigned to Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service, J&K Police (G) Service, and J&K Accounts (G) Service are directed to report to the Director General, J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration, and Rural Development (IMPA&RD) for the foundation course.

After completing the foundation course, candidates of J&K Police (G) Service and J&K Accounts (G) Service shall report to the Director General of Police, J&K, and Director General, Accounts and Treasuries, J&K respectively for further training.

Junior JKAS candidates will continue their prescribed training at J&K IMPA&RD.

Joining Requirements:

Candidates are required to join upon the production of the following original certificates:

Qualification Certificate
Date of Birth Certificate
Domicile Certificate
Relevant Category Certificate
Any other certificate as per the rules.

Joining Deadline:

Candidates must join within 21 days from the date of the appointment order. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of their appointment rights, deemed canceled abinitio without further notice.

Salary Disbursement:

Salary disbursement is subject to the receipt of satisfactory reports on Qualification/Date of Birth/Relevant Category Certificates. An affidavit (as per Annexure-II) must be submitted. Adverse reports or invalid certificates will lead to automatic cancellation of the appointment without further notice.
