Ravinder Raina to contest Assembly Elections from new Constituency SMVD Katra : Sources
Amid ongoing recent development regarding Assembly Elections in J&K , and announcement of Election Commission of India to conduct JK Assembly Elections in three phases viz 18 September , 25 September & 1 October 2024 , the hustle & bustle among political parties has already started .
Earlier today , former Minister & political stalwart from Poonch-Rajouri PDP & then DPAP Leader Choudhary Zulfikar joined BJP at party Headquarters today.
Now sources are saying that Sh. Ravinder Raina J&K BJP President might contest elections from newly created SMVD Katra Assembly Constituency. Though these are only rumours and official list of candidates is yet to be announced by Bhartiya Janta Party.
It is pertinent to mention here that former RSS Karyakatra Sh. Raina is currently serving his third tenure as JK BJP President. In 2014 Assembly Elections he contested in his home Constituency Nowshera and won with huge margin.
As far today , these are just speculations and the whole UT is eagerly waiting for upcoming events as after 7 years of Governor rule , ECI is going to conduct elections in J&K after 10 long years
